Although the largest majority of national airlines fly from your country directly to Bucharest, the capital city or Romania, there are several European budget airlines which operate flights from various major European cities to regional airports in Romania.
The regional airports serve the large cities and are located in Arad and Timisoara (west of the country), Cluj Napoca (center) Constanta (sea resort) and Iasi (north of the country).

Romania is since 2007 member of the European Union and part of the Schengen Agreement.
No visa is required for citizens of EU member countries but a valid identification document is required.
For all other countries, a visitor visa is required and can be obtained from the closest Romanian embassy or consulate, in your country. You must get the visa before you enter the country otherwise you risk to be denied to enter Romania.
